ABOUT     Born in the north of england, as were my ancestors since 1623, most of them living and working within a few miles of my studio. They worked either on the land or in the industrial woollen mills which can still be found throughout the area. Here I draw my inspiration, the rugged textures and the rich dark contrasts of the buildings and the moorlands. This is what I love, this is what I paint. Here in the north is my painting school, one of the biggest specialising schools in Britain, catering for 180 budding artists per week.  Back
